Have you ever met Arthur Webb?

We did! And it was very inspiring!

At the Belfast meeting of playingCLIL we took the advantage to invite him and present him our project. The other way round he told us about his work.

2014-09-21 17.56.52Arthur Webb was formerly drama advisor to the Belfast Library Board (the educational authority governing Belfast schools). During this time he was part of the advisory group which created the current Northern Ireland schools curriculum. One of the far reaching achievements of Arthur’s role in this process was to place drama at the heart of the learning experience for other subjects. His stipulation was that a drama style game should be included in every class in every subject. This was accepted and is standard practice in Northern Ireland schools.
